Relaxation Techniques


Relaxation techniques helps to relieve stress and strain in the body. It relaxes the whole psycho physiological system. One of the most powerful tools in controlling large number of diseases caused by tensions, hypertension and insomnia. These techniques should be performed after the asana session or any time when the body becomes tired. The tension in all the muscles of the body must be consciously released to get complete relaxation.
The muscles may be seemed to be relaxed but, in fact, tightness remains. It is extremely useful in managing the psychosomatic ailments. It strengthens and tones up the entire system. Relaxation practices, which are done in the prone and supine positions, some times done on the chair also are very relaxing to the spine and related structures.
