Prone Posture


Initial Prone Position :





  •   Lie down on the abdomen. keep the legs together with toes pointing outwards. Keep the soles   of the feet facing up. Chin on the ground.   
  •   Keep the hands by the sides of the body. Rest the palms on the ground.

Prone Relaxation Position :

  •  Lie down on the abdomen. Keep the legs apart, heels should touch the ground facing each other.
  •  Keep both the elbows on the ground and rest the right palm on the left shoulder and the left palm on the right shoulder.    
  • Keep the chin at the point where the forearms cross each other and close the eyes. 


Benefits :
  •  Very effective posture for people suffering from slipped disc, sciatica, low back pain.
  •  Regular practice of this posture will improve the breathing pattern for Asthma and Lung ailments.
  • Gives relief for spinal nerves.
