How to practice Vajrasana


Position : Dandasana






  • Fold the right leg and bring the right heel under the right buttock.
  • Slightly shift the body on the right heel, fold the left leg and bring the left heel under the left buttock.
  • Sit straight with neck, head and spine erect. Rest the buttocks on the both heels. Keep the palms on the thighs.
  • Close the eyes and focus on breathing. Sensitize the flow of breath in and out of the nostrils.
Benefits :

  • It strengthens the pelvic muscles. Regulates the entire digestive system.
  • Helps alleviate menstrual disorders.
  • Best posture to practice for those people who has the problem of varicose vein and sciatica.
Contra-indications :

  • People with knee pain should avoid this posture to practice.
