Sadanta Pranayama




Position : Sit in any meditative posture or comfortable sitting position.

  • Open the mouth and press the upper teeth with lower set of teeth.
  • Keep the tongue at the back of the teeth.
  • Suck air in through the crevices of the teeth. Feel the cool air touching the gums and continuously into the mouth. 
  • Close the mouth and exhale through the nostrils slowly. Feel the warm air is exhaled out slowly through trachea and nostrils.
  • Repeat the practice 6-9 rounds.

Benefits :
  • It lowers the body temperature, prevents sensitive teeth.
  • Keeps the gums and teeth healthy.

Precautions :
  • While sucking the air in, do not pressurize and tense the gums or facial muscles.
  • Inhale and exhale slowly to feel the coolness in the body.
