Tips for Healthy Living



  • Drink solids and eat liquids i.e, chew the food properly and drink liquids/water sip by sip.
  • Maintain silence while eating the food. Do not eat food fast.
  • Comfortable sitting posture is best while eating the food.
  • Avoid consuming water while eating the food. Drink water half-an-hour before meals and two hours after meals which ensure complete digestion.
  • To energize the digestive system and reduce gastric formation sit in Vajrasana after meals.
  • Avoid sleeping after lunch. Before meals relax your body in sitting position.
  • Give gap of at-least two hours between dinner and sleep.
  • Eat fresh and healthy food, exercise half an hour and go for a walk half an hour daily.
  • Eat raw (uncooked) food which gives strength and prevents formation of toxins in the systems.
  • Consume raw carrot, beet, cucumber, radish, sprouted grams.
  • Avoid excess of sugar, butter, milk products, tea, coffee, tobacco, alcohol, fried stuffs and junk foods.
  • Fasting is the gateway to good health. Fasting promotes detoxification. Toxins are stored in fat. Fat is burnt during fasting. Elimination of toxins speeds up.
To become strong at physical level :
  • Eat healthy food and drink 8-10 glasses of water every day.
  • Exercise regularly 30-40 minutes every day.
  • Good sleep 8-10 hours a day.
  • Avoid cigarettes, alcohol, drug etc.
At mental level :
  • Stress free routine. Learn to deal with stress.
  • Self - confidence. Trust yourself.
  • Contentment, enjoy every moments of the life with positive attitude.
  • Balance between work and rest. Give some time for recreations.
  • Take a break to visit places and enjoy nature.
  • Be an extrovert and always think positively.
At spiritual level :
  • Prayer.
  • Yoga and pranayama.
  • Meditation
  • Spend some leisure time for charity work.
